When laser cutting tubes, the cutting speed must be within a certain range to obtain better cutting quality. If the speed is too slow, too much heat will accumulate on the surface of the tube, which will burn the surface of the tube mouth and the cutting will be very rough.
In addition, the characteristics of the tube itself will have a great impact on the laser processing process. Different tube diameters or tube materials will be cut with the same laser, and the cutting effect will be different. For example, copper tubes and stainless steel tubes of the same diameter are cut with lasers. Copper tubes are not easy to cut, but stainless steel tubes are easy to cut.
The type and pressure of the auxiliary gas will also affect the cutting quality of the pipe. When cutting a pipe with a thin wall thickness at a higher speed, the pressure of the auxiliary gas should be increased to prevent slag from hanging on the incision. When cutting a thicker wall or cutting at a slower speed, the pressure of the auxiliary gas should be appropriately reduced to prevent the pipe from not being cut through or not being cut through.
